HOW TO INCREASE YOUR PHONE BATTERY LIFE

If there is one thing that can be annoying about a smartphone, it’s a battery that runs down too soon. Here are some tips on how to keep that battery power flowing. The details of configuring settings vary somewhat among the different platforms but these items are worth looking at.

• Charge your battery fully when its new before using it. 
• Dim the screen brightness
• Turn of the vibrator and use ringtones only
• Turn off Bluetooth when not in use
• Turn off the wifi when not in range.
• Limit use of GPS location services
• Turn off application running in the background   e.g. Facebook, whatsapp etc.
• While charging your phone, keep it on any non-heat absorbent material such as wooden table, plastic shelf, book, metallic table most effective ( as it is conductor of heat, it takes away minor heat generated by battery).
• When you are about to restart the phone for any network malfunction, first try to switch the flight mode ON and OFF, instead of restarting the phone, as restarting the phone takes more battery.
• If your phone is connected to your email, make sure it's not set to check your email every 15 minutes or half an hour. This means that every time it checks, you lose a little battery. Set it to where it doesn't check automatically, and you'll save a lot of battery this way.
• mAh is an abbreviation for milli-ampere hours which are units of electrical charge. Larger values, for batteries of the same battery voltage, indicate that the battery has a larger capacity and will power your phone for a longer period of time before charging.
• Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries naturally get quite warm while charging, unless you use a specialized "slow charger". If your phone uses a NiMH battery, do not worry about the heat generated during charging unless it becomes so hot that it is uncomfortable to touch.
• Turn power saver on and charge the phone while it is on. Also be sure to not charge the phone too much; it may reduce the life of the battery, requiring you to buy a whole new battery.
• When using a car charger, do not charge the battery when the inside temperature of your car is hot. Wait until the car has cooled before you plug in the phone.
• You do not have to turn off your phone to charge it. Most battery chargers deliver more than enough current to power your phone and charge it at the same time. Doing so will not lengthen the charge time, and leaving a phone on allows the user to be aware of its fuel gauge, so that you can remove it when the battery is full.

• Check to see if your phone has a "Battery Save" option. If so, you can turn this on to increase the life of your battery.

REMOVE WRITE PROTECTION ON FLASH

Hi, it's been a long time. I am so sorry for not updating this blog for quite some time ...I have been so busy, trying to put things in order.
Today, i want to explain how to remove write protection.
When using a flash drive you may get error messages stating 'Remove the write protection or use another disk' during operations like copying, modifying data or deleting files. Also, when you try to format the pen drive, it refuses to do so. In such cases, don't assume the flash drive has been infected by viruses. This is just a problem of write protection on the pen drive, which can easily be removed. .Now, let's go

The write protection hitch in Windows can be addressed by working on the registry editor, which can be accessed by typing 'regedit' in the run command.

Often an error occurs while copying, deleting or modifying data or files for the USB. This happens because it is 'Write-Protected'. Here is a solution to the problem of the USB being write-protected.

Follow the steps mentioned in this article to enable the modification, copying or deleting of files from the USB thereafter. which can be accessed by typing 'regedit' in the run command.

Issue
This a very common problem when using USB flash drives. Sometimes when you try to copy or delete files you get an error message "Remove the write-protection or use another disk".

Furthermore, it won't allow you to format it!

Solution

• To remove write protection:


• Open Start Menu >>


• Run, type regedit and press Enter.


• This will open the registry editor.


• Navigate to the following path:


• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies


• Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0
  In the Data Value Box,


• press OK


• Exit Registry,


• restart your computer and then re-connect your USB pen drive to your computer.

How to Cancel already sent Friend Requests on Facebook

For some reasons you might have to cancel an already sent friend request on fb.The reasons migth include: sending a friend request to someone accidently or you initially sent a friend request to someone you knew and he/she refuses to confirm the request.
am sure you know or you might not know that facebook bans user from sending friend requests if too many of them where not confirmed, and am quite sure you wouldn’t want to find yourself in such suitation.
